La experiencia humana individual es un punto central en la investigación teológica de Edward Schillebeeckx. Esta preocupación también se da en la victimología, campo en el que existe en la actualidad un vivo debate en torno al binomio víctima-opresor. Este artículo aborda este debate utilizando la visión teológica de Edward Schillebeeckx, específicamente su noción del sufrimiento como una 'experiencia negativa de contraste'. Al abordar este concepto, el artículo muestra que es posible tomar seriamente el sufrimiento individual y, al mismo tiempo, insistir en que este nunca agota la experiencia humana en toda su complejidad. A través del sufrimiento como experiencia negativa de contraste, las víctimas pueden superar su situación e interpretar el sufrimiento y a sí mismas de una manera nueva. En este sentido, se sugiere que es posible dejar atrás el binomio víctima-opresor y situar ambos aspectos en una relación dialéctica entre sí. | ||

Die individuelle menschliche Erfahrung ist ein zentrales Thema der theologischen Untersuchung von Edward Schillebeeckx. Sie steht auch im Mittelpunkt der Viktimologie, in der sich eine besonders hitzige Debatte um den Gegensatz zwischen Opfer und Täter entfaltet. Der vorliegende Beitrag greift diese Debatte auf, indem er die theologische Vision von Edward Schillebeeckx aufgreift, insbesondere seinen Begriff des Leidens als negative Kontrasterfahrung. Durch die Auseinandersetzung mit dem Konzept der negativen Kontrasterfahrung zeigt dieser Beitrag auf, dass es möglich ist, individuelles Leiden ernst zu nehmen und gleichzeitig darauf zu bestehen, dass Leiden die menschliche Erfahrung in ihrer ganzen Komplexität niemals erschöpft. Durch das Leiden als negative Kontrasterfahrung können die Opfer ihre Situation überwinden und das Leiden und sich selbst neu interpretieren. Es wird argumentiert, dass es möglich ist, sich von der Binarität von Opfer und Täter zu lösen und die beiden in einer dialektischen Beziehung zueinander neu zu verstehen. | ||

The individual human experience is a central focus of the theological inquiry of Edward Schillebeeckx. It is also a focus in victimology, where a particularly heated debate centres around the victim-agent binary. This paper engages in this debate, using the theological vision of Edward Schillebeeckx, specifically his notion of suffering as a negative contrast experience. By addressing the concept of negative contrast experience this paper shows that it is possible to take individual suffering seriously and, at the same time, insist that suffering never exhausts the human experience in all its complexity. Through suffering as a negative contrast experience, victims can overcome their situation and interpret the suffering and themselves in a new way. It is argued that it is possible to move away from the victim-agent binary and to see the two in a dialectical relationship with one another. | ||
