Key to this role is identifying and developing relationships with strategic leaders and structures with whom the IHP can advance the learning and practice of community scale health improvement. Two programmes represent this role and the contributions being made to understand the strengths of the faith community in creating healthy whole communities. This paper describes the background of the IHP and two programmes, the African Religious Health Assets Programme and the Institute for Public Health and Faith Collaborations. Both demonstrate the potential impact of innovations in interdisciplinary conceptual frameworks that undergird leadership action needed to close the widening gaps of the burden of unnecessary disease and suffering. | ||
