678 |b Myriam Lamrani is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research Fellow at Harvard and Panteion universities. She studies the ways in which images of migration shape national identities in Greece and Mexico and has conducted field research in both countries. She received her doctoral degree from UCL in 2018 for her work on devotion to death and Mexican politics, funded by the European Research Council. In 2020, she was awarded the J. B. Donne Essay Prize on the Anthropology of Art from the Royal Anthropological Institute and has written in leading academic journals. Her work on intimacy with violence and the representation of death in Mexico was published in American Ethnologist (2022).
