Description
Summary:The article seeks to answer the question about the relevance of an author such as Paul Tillich, man of his time, to today’s theology, faced with the challenges of post-modernity. Witness to an era of change of paradigms, Tillich postulates a method based on the correlation between “situation” and “Christian message” considering his Theology of Culture, that is, an answer to the major issues of his time. To think with Tillich means to seek clues to answer new issues, in view of a correlation between the cultural situation and the Christian message. More than a theoretical discussion about the method, the reflection takes the risk of interpreting faith in an ambiguous religious context, like that of Brazil, leaving open the possibility of a theology as discernment of experience, in any situation that experience takes place.
