Summary:Digital social media is common in our society for ingesting information, being entertained, and cultivating social connectivity. It was only a matter of time before such media began to influence ministry practice. For many decades, media has been included in the practices of worship and communication. Now the debate is on the mediation of sacramental acts. What role, if any, can digital communication technologies play in our sacraments/ordinances? There are important questions to be addressed by persons on both sides of the debate.
