Summary:The Portuguese regime used many human resources in Angola to limit and outlaw the activities of Jehovah’s Witnesses. This study aims to understand to what extent the Witnesses’ concept of neutrality and the way they viewed secular authorities resulted in their becoming a target for the police authorities in Angola, who did not tolerate the dissemination of ideologies which could challenge the sustainability of the colonial system.
