Summary:Freedom of religion is enshrined in art. 15 of the Swiss Federal Constitution (Cst.), whereby freedom of religion and conscience is guaranteed. This protection is available to all individuals. Like every other fundamental right, freedom of religion can be limited if the constitutional conditions are met. In various cases involving public schools, the Federal Court had to determine the scope of religious freedom.
