Description
Summary:This paper examines the Babylonian exile as a key moment of trauma within the biblical narrative, and reflects on the meaning assigned to this crisis by the biblical writers. A brief overview of the Babylonian exile and its impacts among the people of Judah is provided, which will be accompanied by a discussion on the implications for psychotherapy. Furthermore, the authors demonstrate the utility of shifting from reflective to future-oriented questioning to assist clients in meaning-making during treatment for trauma.
