Summary:Since the 1970s, there has been a growing awareness particularly amongst Muslim psychologists of considering the relationship between Islam and psychology. This paper argues that enhancing theoretical understandings by means of specific institutional support is crucial. To that end, a number of British and American structures that indicate endeavours with the potential to advance current concepts and theories are introduced. German structures shall be appraised on the basis of this British and American experience.
