Description
Summary:The paper addresses the problem of new forms of cultural practices and cultural institutions that could contribute to solve the political difficulties which the European construction has to front. In respect to the ideas of multiculturalism and cultural exception, the author proposes a new model of cultural integration, taken from post-colonial scholarly approaches, which can be defined as ‘generalized translation' and could help to redefine such concepts as universalism and modernity that are typical of the European tradition.
