Summary:During the few weeks I spent in Kalisz in 2015, a middle-sized city situated in the center of Poland I realized that a triangle composed of music classes, a Catholic private school—but no religious weddings —constituted the base of the group that I came to call the new “Kalisz bourgeoisie.” Taken together they point to a special attitude characteristic of a “web” or “network” of “bourgeois” institutions in Kalisz (Thériault 2014, 2015a).
