| Résumé: | Die Jugendweihe ist ein Ritual, das auch nach dem Ende der DDR in Ostdeutschland noch populär ist. Wie ist das Verhältnis der Jugendweihe zur Konfirmation zu bestimmen? Dieser Beitrag interpretiert Jugendweihe und Konfirmation als Jugendrituale, die Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts entstanden sind und das Thema der Selbstwerdung und Mündigkeit im Jugendalter zum Gegenstand haben. Vor diesem Hintergrund kann die Jugendweihe exemplarisch den Wandel und die Beharrungskraft von Ritualen in der modernen Gesellschaft abbilden. Der Vergleich mit der Jugendweihe wirft nicht zuletzt neue Perspektiven auf das Verständnis der Konfirmation als Ritual im Jugendalter. Jugendweihe is an East German phenomenon which is still very popular. lt was established in 1851 in close affiliation to Confirmation and adopted in the former GOR as an obligatory pledge to socialism, as a means for displacing the Christian rite of Confirmation. In this contribution the question of why the Jugendweihe is still so popular, is considered. The aim is to show that Jugendweihe and Confirmation are both initiation ceremonies, whose emphasis is on youth and maturity in modern society. La« Jugendweihe» (consécration de jeunesse) est un rituel de l'Allemagne d l'Est qui est encore très populaire. Comment peut-on comprendre la relation entre la Jugendweihe et la confirmation? Cet article interprète les deux rituels comme des rituels de la jeunesse qui étaient fondés au milieu de XIXe siècle. Ils s'occupent du développement de soi-même et de la majorité. De cette façon, la Jugendweihe peut être visé comme exemple pour la transformation et la persistance des rituels dans la société moderne. La comparaison de Jugendweihe et confirmation peut aussi aider à développer une autre perspective sur la confirmation comme rituel de la jeunesse. |
