Résumé:The article discusses the murder of Yitzhak Rabin and the impact it had on Jewish life in Israel. In promoting the peace process Rabin pushed forward the possibility of ordinary life for Jews and Palestinians. His murder, the article shows, can thus be seen as a protest against ending the era of Auschwitz, an era characterised by the attempted annihilation of Jewish people and the displacement of Palestinian people.
