Description
Summary:The question of interreligious dialogue and the discussion around truth Claims brought forward by different religious Systems are key issues of contemporary approaches in a theology of religion. A pluralistic approach tries to reconcile various soteriological offers. Ludwig Wittgenstein's philosophy of culture, namely his language-game model, seems to be a promising tool to master these problems. In this paper some difficulties in the "temptation" to use Wittgenstein's language-game model are indicated and the tricky question of interreligious dialogue are clarified. In developing some ideas of the language-game model some suggestions are made how to cope with the différent truth Claims of différent religions.
