Description
Summary:The article examines Kahane's Weltanschauung through the use of his own prolific writings. The most important component of Kahane's resume is his Orthodox Judaism; religion provides the basis for his political and social statements. The idea of "choseness" is common in Kahane's messianic outlook. His concept of particularism also applies to the Jewish collectivity - the Jewish state. Total peace and justice, Kahane believes, will not come until the arrival of the Messiah. In the meantime, Kahane pleads for a return to the "Old Jew" of Joshua and David - the fighting Jew.
