Description
Summary:The paper is an exercise that tries to demonstrate how to deal with questions like the following: "Is god a reality that determines everything?" The question could be paraphrased asking whether an identity with a definite description holds. The essay concentrates on the conditions for asserting or denying this proposition, i. e. the conditions for proof or refutation. Therefore, the inquiry contains the analysis of the meaning of the respective expressions. Firstly the meaning of the logical operators is explained; secondly the meaning of the theological terms is discussed. It is shown that the main problem is to make sense of the theological words. – The essay is a step-by-step application of elementary philosophical methods.
