Description
Summary:The short letter still preserved in Spoleto and written by St. Francis to Friar Leo is without doubt one of the most precious and beautiful texts in the history of Franciscanism. It has handed down to us a fragment of daily life in which there immediately emerges not just the deep intimacy that reigned between the two brothers but also the evangelical logic that guided the saint to assist his brother. "Like a Mother" Francis, in fact, asks Leo to take the effort to know what is best for himself and the friars and to act upon it. In the simplicity and humility of the transcription of the note, the evangelical spirit of a man who helps his brother to become an adult in the faith takes charge of his brothers.
