| Summary: | Thinkers such as Shabestani and Kadivar, active members of the clergy, are interested in the goal of reconceiling the contradictory terms of the Islamic discourses of the 1960s and 1970s. Unlike Shabestani, Kadivar, born 1959, directly tackles the largest of these contradictions, i.e. the concept and the institution of guardianship of the jurist. The author introduces the ideas of this important thinker who was charged with propaganda against the Islamic Republic, dissemination of lies and creating confusion in the public opinion by the special court for the clergy in 1999 and sentenced to 18 months in prison.
