Description
Summary:In this article, survey research evidence from CEP-Adimark and FLACSO, as well as qualitatively gathered data, are employed to investigate how Protestants and Catholics diverge in their attitudes towards Chile's highly institutionalized party system. The study reveals that while Catholics tend to form part of an elaborate web of political parties and popular organizations in Chile, Protestants are less likely to develop such ties. These findings cast new light on previous findings with respect to the relationship between religion and politics in the country. (Can J Lat Am Caribb Stud/DÜI)
