Der Aufsatz diskutiert das mit dem Thema “König Kyros in religiöser Perspektive” verbundene Material, zunächst in Texten von Nabonids von Babylon, dann in denen der sog. „Marduk-Priesterschaft“ sowie in anderen Texten, die möglicherweise in einer engeren Beziehung zu Kyros selber zu deuten sind, endlich auch in Texten des Deuterojesaja. Das diskutierte Material bildet ein starkes Argument, Deuterojesaja im Kontext einer politischen Diskussion zu verstehen, die in Babylon um 539 v. Chr. stattfand. |
