Description
Summary:Faced with a concept of rationality defined by natural sciences, religion often finds itself accused of being beyond a rational explication of its basic tenets. However, if rationality's aim is an understanding of the world, then it is not necessary to translate scientific concepts of rationality to religious explanations or to relegate religious knowledge to a non-cognitive sphere. The concept of religion as a Weltanschauung as defined by Otto Muck is a valid way of combining religious and scientific rationality without their losing their respective individuality.
