| Résumé: | A synoptic comparison of two versions of a story has to be done on three different levels: Syntax of expressions compares the data, points to omissions or replacements, additions. Semantics deals with an adequate understanding of the literal meaning in both versions. Whereas Pragmatics tries to use insights of discourse analysis, compares the interests that can be detected behind both versions. And finally questions of Herme–neutics are implied. – In sum the koranic version of the Joseph story uses the hebrew Vorlage to transform it into a kind of catechism. Narrative logic is destroyed to a large extent. The pretended "beauty" of the Joseph story is not based on literary qualities. Der synoptische Vergleich zweier Texte sammelt Daten auf allen drei methodischen Ebenen: (Ausdrucks-)Syntax, Semantik, Pragmatik. Es geht also um Vergleichsdaten auf Wortebene, im Rahmen der wörtlichen Bedeutung und hinsichtlich der Erzähltechnik, sowie der Denkfiguren, die zwischen Autor und Leser zum Einsatz kommen. Hermeneutik ist im Spiel, weil es letztlich darum geht, wie der eine wie der andere Text auf Leser wirkt (damals wie heute), bzw. weil es um die Frage geht, ob unsere heutigen Kriterien signifikant verschieden sind von denen damaliger Sprachteilnehmer. Hier wird die Meinung vertreten, dass auf literarischer Ebene die Unterschiede nicht allzu groß sein dürften. |
