| Summary: | The problems of electronically encoding non-latin writings such as Hebrew were discussed. The main interest consists in a powerful search procedure in which a searchtext can be defined and where the computer automatically finds all instances of strings in a given corpus. The main characteristics of the online concordance CoMOn are introduced. This tool is operating exclusively on the basis of expressions / strings, without any inclusion of meaning. The results will be quasi objective, because they can easily be controlled. But a sophisticated reflection is needed to answer the questions of citation, allusion or relative chronology. Methodically the Online-concordance (working on the basis of strings alone) contrasts the well known printed concordances as well as the Stuttgart Electronic Study Bible. Der Artikel behandelt Fragen der elektronischen Codierung nichtlateinischer Schriften wie z.B. Hebräisch. Die Fragen sind wichtig, wenn es darum geht – zweites Interesse – ein mächtiges Konkordanzwerkzeug zu entwickeln und zur Verfügung zu stellen. Hier geht es um CoMOn = Corpus Matching Online. Damit kann jeder z.B. beim hebräischen AT einen Einzeltext definieren. Das Programm sucht dann selbstständig alle Wortketten dieses Einzeltextes (ab einer voreingestellten Mindestlänge) im Übrigen AT. „Konkordanz“ ist somit nicht mehr nur eine statische Wortliste, sondern ein Werkzeug, das dynamisch ganze Wortketten als Suchtreffer ausgibt (also nicht nur Wortketten als Umgebungsbedingungen anzeigt). Außer für AT (hebräisch, griechisch) werden inzwischen mehrere weitere Korpora in verschiedenen Sprachen/Schriften in CoMOn angeboten. |
