Description
Summary:Since Islam originated in Arabia, the identification of the nation with its religion was strong from the beginning. Even today one can say that 90% of the Arabian people belong to the Islamic religion, and there are particular regions in which Islam unambiguously predominates. But Islam is also expanding in other nations, so that, on the other hand, one can speak of a universalistic tendency of this religion. In this respect it is similar to Christianity. Furthermore, the Qur’an includes no statement that is tied to a specific nation. It advocates, instead, the view that everything and everyone was created by God, regardless of color, race, or gender.
