We explain the materialist and technical conception of man and language carried by transhumanism. The individual thus conceived as a "natural cyborg" (A. Clark) must be free to use material technologies on himself (A. Sandberg, W. S. Bainbridge). We conclude with a reflection on transhumanism that prolongs and criticizes some important aspects of traditional and modern humanisms. |
