Description
Summary:The meaning of Professor Tamminen's studies is explored from cognitive-developmental and psychoanalytic perspectives. Questions are raised about the adequacy of Professor Tamminen's definition of religious experience and his division of adolescents into those who adhere to religion and those who do not. A rationale is given for future research on how God as a transitional object functions in adolescent development.
