Description
Summary:The names of N(y)-s(w)-sA-jb and his son FAw-Hn did not appear among the names of the Old Kingdom officials before discovering this false door in 2002. Until now, these names are not listed, and appear for the first time in this research paper. The aim of this article is to publish the false door of N(y)-s(w)-sA-jb from Giza, preserved now in the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Cairo under the number 558, with a discussion of the meaning of his name and titles, those of his two sons and their prevalence during the Old Kingdom. Furthermore, it aims to translate, to comment on the texts, and to date the false door. Some artistic, orthographic and paleographic features display a tendency toward the end of the Old Kingdom (6th–8th dynasties).
