Summary:The article attempts to gauge the use of the term "implicit religion" within the psychology of religion. For purposes of comparison, the prevalence of the term "implicit religion" was also examined within leading social science, religion and sociology bibliographic databases. The present study had two aims, the first aim was to further gauge the application of implicit religion in the psychology of religion using a biblio-metric analysis and the second aim was to examine if the number of citations obtained for "implicit religion" was comparable to those obtained from databases from neighboring disciplines.
