Summary: | Previous empirical work has shown that economic freedom increases standards of living, along with other positive aspects of life such as health and literacy. There has yet to be an extensive study, however, of any causal relationship between economic and religious freedom. The research presented here makes use of longitudinal and cross-sectional data on both economic and religious freedom to study the causal relationship. While no definitive causality is identified in these data, the results further the literature on economic freedom and suggest areas for further study of this and all personal liberties. |
