Description
Summary:Most migrants are engaged in transnational social practices by travelling between countries, through social media as well as by transferring religious ideasand traditions. Consequently, from a transnational perspective it is insightful tofocus on the connections and social spaces between ‘hereʼ and ‘thereʼ. With regardto the concepts of connected history and cultural transfer studies, the article provides an overview of transnational religious practices, as experienced by family groups and religious networks. Moreover, the article describes the effects of transnationality on Religious Education and school communities in Germany.
