Description
Summary:Christology is the attempt to answer the question about the identity of the person of Jesus of Nazareth. The present essay tries to clarify the pre-comprehensions of the concept of personal identity and their influence in the way one answers the Christological question. After a historical overview which will serve as context, the autor starts from a phenomenological description of Jesus’ identity in order to determine its essential features: its mediateness, its restrospective orientation, its paradoxical dimension. The reflection reaches the treshold of Trinitarian theology, with considerations on the divine “self”.
