Summary: | The article assumes that truth can only be understood as an individual construction. The pedagogic importance of truth is firstly developed using the German concept of „Bildung“. In this sense, truth presents itself as the ability of the reflection of one's own conditions for understanding. The author discusses the difference between Orthodoxy and Orthopraxy and reveals the different levels of truth in the discussion of this term in the context of education. Besides the question how truth can be understood as the content and the goal of education, the dimension of truth in a specific form of educational action is shown. The line of thought of the article concludes with the idea that education as education has to legitimize itself. |
