Summary: | In the so-called Dutch ‘Bible Belt’ lies the Dominican church of Zwolle. In this environment mostly orientated towards Protestantism, Catholics and Protestants, and those in search of meaning, find each other around the Word of God. Together with Dominican Jan Laan and pastor Hans Schoorlemmer, I am a pastor in this community. Our church is home to an active, varied community. On a weekly basis, around 400 parishioners take part in the Sunday service. Besides that, more than 350 volunteers devote themselves to creating a lively Dominican religious community, in which the Christian tradition is shaped in a contemporary way.... |
