Summary: | Spirituality is a dynamic process. It is not a concept nor a static idea. Its realization or development can be expressed by the terms ‘growth’ and ‘development’. In fact, these two characterize what spirituality is. The present study, from a metaphysical and mystical viewpoint, is an attempt to interpret growth and development in terms of the ‘Approach to the Absolute’ on the part of man, the human spirit. The result is not an exhaustive study but a highly-documented essay, taking into account different trends, schools and currents but grounded on the Christian tradition, aimed at opening new vistas in the quest of defining the status of spirituality as a study. |
