| Zusammenfassung: | Comment entendre la maturité ? Est-ce en l’opposant à l’immaturité ? La notion se dit-elle en plusieurs sens ? Sur qui ou quoi porte-t-elle ? Et quels sont ses domaines de manifestation ? Dans cette étude, nous examinons en quoi Maurice Merleau-Ponty apporte une réponse originale à ces questions. Il établit que la maturité se conquiert dans l’oeuvre en cours de l’artiste. Elle constitue une prise de conscience, laquelle fait gravir un degré et franchir un point crucial à notre lecture du monde et des autres. Un tel mouvement de la maturité s’affine conceptuellement en une trop longue maturation qui habite un processus d’apprentissage, historique et perceptif, ainsi qu’un mûrissement de la pensée, lent et confronté à des limites intrinsèques. En cette facticité qui est aussi anticipation, la maturité devient essentiellement une prématuration, laquelle n’a rien de prématuré pour la psychanalyse, la politique et la philosophie. How might we fathom out what is maturity ? Is it by opposing it to immaturity ? Is it a polysemous word ? Who or what is to be said mature ? And what are the domains where maturity reveals itself ? In this paper, I probe how Merleau-Ponty innovatively fields those questions. He establishes that maturity is conquered in the actual work of an artist. Maturity consists in an awareness that makes our reading of the world and of others reach a higher degree and pass a critical point. Such a movement in maturity is conceptually refined as a too lengthy maturation that inhabits a process of learning, historical, and perceptual, also as a maturing of thought that is slow and shows intrinsic limitations. In such a facticity that is also an anticipation, maturity essentially becomes a prematuration, which is by no means premature for psychoanalysis, politics, and philosophy. |
