Description
Summary:The healing processes in remote Amazon are often impregnated by the faith that singularizes the experiences of social actors. This work focuses on one of these processes, using qualitative research and the methodology of oral history to dialogue with the experience of Dona Maria Neuza Rodrigues Gomes, curator resident at Agrovila do Mocambo do Arari, Parintins, Amazonas. The results point to the experience with enchanted people like Ariramba, Mariana, João da Mata and Flecheiro in the process of giving birth, healing and, in some cases, blessing. At the intersection of social markers such as poverty, gender and education, the complexity of the healing process is evidenced, through the understanding of the disease, health and faith in a place, by itself, suggestive of the encounter of multiethnic knowledge, in addition to the “ harassment "suffered by" official knowledge ", such as legislation, codes of conduct and scientificity.
