The purpose of this article is to consider the figure of healers like magic agents contained in the world and materialized through cul-ture and strength present in nature, allowing them to manipulate plants and prayers due to the promotion of healing they believe to be able to do. Such considerations addressed are from a distinction between religion and magic making up a whole context regarding the possibility of the healers have their historical roots in the figure of witches as agents who had more or less the same social function. The article is a literature review that widens the debate on the theme. |
