This article contributes to a feminist theo-ethical analysis of the Roman Catholic context in the USA since Vatican II. It focuses on the commitment and resistance of women of faith, theologians and feminist activists who challenge the lack of faith of the kyriarchal Catholic structure. Three strategies for the future are proposed to transform the structures of domination and to construct democratic alternative communities. The author places the history, activism, and contributions of Ivone Gebara within this context. |
