Description
Summary:The essay The Peanuts Papers reveals the importance of Charles M. Schulz’s comic strips. Not only because of their extraordinary success (the strips have been translated into 20 languages, published in 70 countries, by 2,600 newspapers), but also because of the themes they deal with, including the contribution of various authors on the meaning of life. Schulz wanted to expose the crude truth about intelligent things, which people fear. He did not offer solutions, but made problems visible. Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, Schroeder and friends, with the ever-present Snoopy, their lives intertwined with joy and melancholy, disappointment and wonder, offer a guide to living in a world that is never easy, helping each other.
