| Summary: | Neste artigo consideraremos algumas inquietações quanto às transformações ocorridas no interior do movimento pentecostal nas últimas décadas. Procu-ramos analisar de que maneira a passagem da sociedade tradicional para a sociedade moderna infl uenciou o mundo pentecostal, verifi cando as mudan-ças ocorridas dentro do pentecostalismo para que este se adaptasse à socieda-de atual, fazendo que a Igreja Pentecostal reelaborasse sua teologia (seu dis-curso) e ingressasse na modernidade, ganhando competitividade no mercado. Em suma, como o movimento pentecostal levou o sagrado para fora de suas paredes, ao mesmo tempo que trouxe o profano para dentro, sem com isso “macular” nem deixar transparecer essa mudança. Pontuaremos algumas considerações que talvez nos ajudem a entender um pouco melhor essa trans-formação ocorrida dentro do movimento pentecostal no Brasil. In this article we consider some of the uneasiness concerning the transfor-mations occurred in the Pentecostal movement in the past decades. We tried to analyze how the transition from the traditional to the modern so-ciety infl uenced the Pentecostal world, verifying the changes occurred in the Pentecostalism so that it would adapt to the so called modern society, causing the Pentecostal Church to rework its theology (its speech) and enter modernity being more competitive in the market. In short, how the Pentecostal movement took the holy to the exterior of its walls, and at the same time brought the profane in, without “maculating”, or letting this change show. We will point out some concerns that might help us unders-tand a little better these transformations occurred in the Pentecostal move-ment in Brazil. |
