| Summary: | A teologia ocidental (protestante e católico-romana) tradicionalmente nãotem se preocupado muito com a produção de uma reflexão sobre a arte. Essetema é virtualmente ausente no discurso da teologia evangelical latino-ame-ricana, que tem concentrado seus esforços no tema da missão integral. Nãoobstante, pelo menos desde o final do século XIX, algumas produções teo-lógicas têm se preocupado em pensar o tema da arte. Este artigo pretendeapresentar algumas possibilidades teóricas dessa articulação, privilegiando oconceito de referencialidade proposto por Calvin Seerveld, como ferramen-ta teórica para uma articulação entre teologia e arte, e também enfatizar aimportância dessa reflexão para a teologia evangelical latino-americana. Western theology (Protestant and Roman Catholic as well) traditionally doesnot have so much concern with art. This theme is virtually absent in LatinAmerican Evangelical theological reflection, which gives a great emphasis inthe theme of holistic mission. Nevertheless, at least since the end of 19thcen-tury some theological productions have had the concern of think about art.This article intends to present some theoretical possibilities of this interface,with special emphasis in the Calvin Seerveld’s idea of allusiveness, as a theo-retical tool for an articulation between theology and the arts, and also theimportance of this reflection to Latin American Evangelical theology. |
