Description
Summary:Karl Löwith’s Meaning in History contains an explicit and positive reference to Oscar Cullmann’s Christus und die Zeit, but the distance between the two biblical interpretations is clearly marked. In those pages and in other works the philosopher proposes a return to a circular conception of time, stressing nature rather than culture and history. This outcome encourages further reflections and invites to distinguish more accurately between different eschatological and theological models, following some valuable suggestions provided by Jürgen Moltmann.
