| Summary: | The essay focuses on three main questions. To begin with, the very meaning of the idea of space of reasons is examined and discussed. Who has access to it (de iure and de facto)? In addition, how do we have to imagine such an access? Secondly, we examine whether it makes sense to concretistically portray the space of reasons as a space that we explore and within which we take a position. What does such a sui generis space include and which traits should it display? How have we to imagine its subdivision and organization? Thirdly, in the wake of these questions, the issue arises of the pros and cons of an understanding of the space of reasons that, building upon John McDowell’s inquiry, lavishly employs the classic notion of «second nature». |
