| Summary: | This paper is an attempt to critically present the most important positions on the much-discussed topic of the epistemological statute of practical pastoral philosophy. It presents the crucial questions – individuation and delimitation of the object of study, indication of the gnoseologic paradigm of an adequate cognitive approach, determination of the disciplinary fi gure, identifi cation of the appropriate methodological model, outlining of the methodological course in its articulations, theological qualifi cations of the discipline – and proposes a closer look at certain crucial points. This leads to the necessity of adopting a new precomprehensive horizon, a new all encompassing theological paradigm. |
