| Summary: | This paper investigates the particular interweaving of references to the historical dimension and auto reflexive structures in early Celan poetry. It sheds light on the implied poetological presuppositions and, above all, excludes the possibility of an allegorical reading of Celan’s poetry. An analysis of Celan’s verses leads to the isolation of a negative moment in them, constitutive of poetic language, yet irreducible to it. By way of such an element, poetry opens its semantic borders and obtains meaning, nevertheless against a background that necessarily must be aporetic. As a result, Celan’s poetry is not an autonomous language for the real and neither the univocal affirmation of a reality, also for the irrecoverably torn interpreter. |
