Description
Summary:This paper is an attempt at a transversal reflection on the relationship between the canon of sacred texts and gender readings. Less attention will be paid to the discussion on the legitimacy and efficiency of the canonistic authority and on the possible substitution of this latter authority with others, possibly of gender, but instead we will reflect on the productivity of orality, of use, which seeps in when the text is put down into writing. The model of the mystics’ accomplishments on the threshold of modernity, in the reading of the sacred text and in the production of practices, is considered here as a possible paradigm for gender readings.
