Description
Summary:This paper discusses the dichotomy between the private and the public sphere – this unvaryingly constant factor of the political philosophy – as a focal point of female political thought. Feminist criticism has always been interested in this dichotomy and has proposed a variety of interpretations and ways of overcoming it. The most important positions concerning this theme will be considered, especially relative to the topic of female citizenship. In the end, the considerations developed by the female philosophical community Diotima regarding female political practices, which overcome the boundaries of private acting and public acting, will be expounded.
