Description
Summary:This paper proposes some prolegomenal reflections on the topic of justice, as they present themselves when one focuses on the plurality of religious visions, in relationship with an ethical ideal that is presupposed as unitary. The term «justice» has many different meanings and at the same time pertains to various disciplines, which for their part refer to various methods of research. This plurality renders the use of the term particularly complex and it can become the source of ambiguity. Essentially, the author intends to concentrate on the ethical and theological uses, illustrating first the difficulties the renewal of a discourse on justice faces, and secondly the topic of the relationship of human and divine justice and eschatological justice. Ultimately, the topic of the contextuality and universality of justice in contemporary ethics will be examined.
