Description
Summary:The case of the mystic Domenica da Paradiso, Savonarola’s disciple famous for her preaching, once again puts forward the question Women – Bible. This relationship does not only regard the ways of knowing and the specific nature of reading which women have acquired over the centuries with their prophetic and mystic exegesis of holy texts; it also regards the relationships that bound them to the male dominated religious environment (confessors, preachers, spiritual directors) and touches upon their capacity to weave the weft and the warp of a substantial and varied interpretative tissue together with the men.
