| Summary: | O objetivo deste texto é destacar o significado religioso do romance O Idiota de Fiódor Dostoiévski. Para isto, será indicado como o personagem do Príncipe Mychkin encarna o mais alto ideal positivo de Dostoiévski, num sentido morale religioso. O percurso de Mychkin no romance demonstra a ação do bem no mundo e o inevitável fracasso deste bem. A aposta é que este fracasso possa ser o símbolo de uma nova religiosidade e que o discurso artístico de Dostoiévski seja capaz de demonstrar o sentido positivo deste fracasso. The aim of this paper is to highlight the religious significance of the novel “The Idiot” by Fyodor Dostoevsky. In that regard, it will be demonstrated how Prince Myshkin’s character embodies Dostoevsky’s highest positive ideals in a moraland religious sense. Myshkin’s journey in the novel demonstrates the action of goodness in the world, and the inevitable failure of it as well. The bet is that thisfailure could become the symbol of a new religion, and that Dostoevsky’s artistic discourse is capable of demonstrating a positive direction out of this failure. |
